i am a big fan of jennifer rubell (her cookbook, real life entertaining, is one of my favorites).

pondering what to buy at this week's farmer's market, i think i want try her late summer menu. who doesn't love a lusty puttanesca (raw, at that) + crusty bread? sounds simply divine:

~ spaghetti with raw puttanesca sauce

~ rustic italian bread with infused olive oil

~ marinated olives

~ marcona almonds

~ italian wine

~ seasonal fruit

yep, i'm ready for alfresco + lots of vino.

in tuscany.

would make for a spicy night....

today: the workspaces of mimi mcmakin (mom) and celerie kemble (daughter).

both are decorators.

although their projects are global, mimi is based in palm beach and celerie styles out of new york city for kemble interiors, inc.

what a great team (and i'm sure their homes are fabulous!).

love idea of bowls, plates + hooks, especially that adorable horseshoe!

(on that note, i wish i hadn't tossed up these earrings way back when...).

another fab-o mom + daughter bedroom preview.

mom is nian fish, creative director and daughter is natane boudreau, actress.

the pendleton draped over the foot of natane's bed is a nice touch...and check out those floors and wood shutters - love! the country house mood in here would be a nice respite from the bustle of new york city.

contrasting, the worldly, ethnic vibe in nian's room is colorful, eclectic and a quite sultry....

decorator for both was gregory bissonnette. talent.
