i bought mine at boom modern in cleveland but have seen similar beauties on 1st dibs.
reminds me a bit of mid-century marvel, curtis jere - a design team composed of curtis freiler and jerry fels - who sold their works between 1963 and 1972 through the company artisan house (and still do). work included flocks of birds as well as raindrops. (jonathan adler sells some of this work today.)

I grew up with this SAME thingy in my parents' room! Later, it was in my dad's office and stayed there until he died in 2005. I have such vivid memories of this sculpture! I've never seen it anywhere else until now...
where did you grow up? WILD...but somehow not surprised...
