inspired...

i love this canvas....

entitled "small fireworks, 2008," this abstract landscape was painted by new york city-based artist kathryn lynch. i find it incredible the way the fire moves through the still night + imagine myself huddled below gazing at the sky alight. 

i imagine how stunning this piece would be gracing one of the walls in my home.

it's quite befitting to have stumbled across an article today about ms. lynch in this month's elle decor (her work is currently on exhibit at manhattan's sears-peyton gallery through august 14). 

at this very moment, i am sitting on lake erie's shore in huron, ohio, waiting for the sky to turn to night....
