road trip: sweet ride (cambridge, ohio)

during our road trip down to south carolina, charlie and i took a random exit at lunchtime + ended up in cambridge, ohio. 

what a treat! literally. 

kennedy's bakery, family-owned since 1925, is super sweet...in oh-so-many ways. definitely worth a visit.

midwest must:

although i'm a vanilla-vanilla girl, i thought the chocolate cake with vanilla frosting was light in texture + devilish in flavor. if only, i had had room for some dutch apple pie!
