hip, hip moiré!

today i am working on a side project for a client of mine. she's a hobbyist soon-to-turn WAHM and about to open up shop, so to speak. i'm helping her brand her business.

right now, i find this photograph inspiring. i'm lusting over the grosgrain, satin and taffeta....she will too.

taken at san francisco's ribbonerie in laurel heights, i fondly remember this shop from my days in the 'hood. it will be one of my first stops next time i'm in town. imagine the endless decorative possibilities.

(plus, how can i not love this place? it's located on sacramento street at the corner of spruce!)

tips+tricks:
why not buy a lovely pre-made bouquet at trader joe's (or other grocery store, just take out the unattractive filler) + wrap the stems with some gorgeous ribbon? it will fancy up your blooms for less than a fine dime...and really make someone's day happy. hip, hip moiré!
