lovely + talented trina turk recently launched a line of trade-only indoor/outdoor fabrics through schumacher.

looking like modishly wasp-y interpretations of vintage textile designs, they are very palm beach-y or palm spring-y depending on your coast. seen here: "arches," "peacock" + "fronds." used individually or together, they are smashing + kid-friendly.

with springtime around the corner, now is the time to hire a decorator + get that worn couch of yours recovered instead of buying new. your place will be worthy of a frolicking slim aarons photo op, poolside or not.

(i admire her stuff so much that i'll blog more tonight about ms. turk....)

tips+tricks:

many decorators, like me, will sign on for a small project such as reupholstering for a nominal fee. without blowing the bank, it's recessionista chic.
