DIY DÉCOR (part 3)
1) gather up a bunch paint chips.
tips+tricks: before tackling your room, i highly recommend buying testers of the colors you favor. paint poster-size swatches of each on your walls. live with them for a week or two. you'll want to see how light (both natural + artificial) affects the color and mood in the room as day moves to night. i think sampling is the best investment you can make to avoid a color catastrophe later.
2) select the hue that speaks to you.
3) tape off the room + paint like crazy.
5) admire your hard work! your new portico/entryway will greet you warmly every time you arrive home.
