STYLE IT: spruced (part 1)

every so often, i like to check in with spruce austin to see what's new.

last year, i made the acquaintance of this fabulous shop when i selected one of their lovely furniture images to be included in an inspiration board for an article i penned for stationery trends called "branding your blog - ideas and movements cross media with fabulous effect."

amanda brown and lizzie nguyen are not only incredibly talented but really nice too + graciously cooperated with me.

checking in with them online, what fun to see a recently posted "decorating" photo sequence on their website. click here.

they also have some super furniture re-dos for sale in their etsy shop:

"the birdcage chair" - i seriously want to buy this chair and will if ever i soon have a proper office... (c'mon lady luck!). vintage hummingbird fabric called "aviary" in neon. swoon. $850.

"rising tide" settee - upholstered in a wave-like designer's guild fabric, the rolling theme of this piece is carried throughout the structure of the black painted frame. the soft curves have distressed edges and nicely complements the playful fabric. suits many types of spaces. $795.

"naughty or nice" thonet-style chairs - a contemporary twist with white leather on 1/2 of the seat + black leather on the other. a shiny coat of black gives the classic frame a graphic quality. $1350 for fleet of 8!

get spruced.
