welcome to CHARLIE'S SUGAR SHACK!
with life's many responsibilities + distractions, charlie and i needed a little treat....and what a treat it was to craft our very own ice cream shop.
a quick stop to jo-ann fabrics yielded all sorts of goodies for this super quick DIY kiddie project. together, we set up our store:
~ large pom poms = assorted ice cream flavors
~ tiny red pom poms = cherries
~ cardboard + brown felt = cones
~ grosgrain ribbon = cone embellishment
~ yellow, red, dark green + dark blue felt = fruit toppings (e.g., bananas, strawberries, blueberries)
~ brown yarn = chocolate sauce
~ poly stuffing = whipped cream
~ sparkly sequins = colored sprinkles
other essentials:
~ misc. markers, paper, stapler
~ easel (or tape a sign to a tree or chair back)
~ cash register
~ spoons, straws + napkins
~ ice cream scoop
~ ice cream pints
~ banana split containers + ice cream cups
(tip: wash out pints/containers/cups after you've eaten the real thing)
as you can see, charlie was a master scooper + concocted all sorts of delicious combos.
it's been a fun friday, indeed!
