painterly photography

not too long ago, i chatted with photographer kari herer. based in portland, maine, she had just gotten back from a sojourn to paris where she had ventured to find inspiration and rejuvenation. that, she did indeed.

i am particularly fond of this lovely shot of pale anemones. fragile, wistful, beautiful...i imagine being transported to the marché aux fleurs. ahhh...who wouldn't love paris in the springtime? or in winter's drizzle, for that matter?

anyhoo, do spend some time in kari's etsy shop. i think you'll find her photographs evocative + romantic (particularly her peony series). painterly, really.

fine art for a fine price. beauty you can't afford to miss.
