mushroom mania! (day 3)

to celebrate foraging season + "mushroom mania," i'll be posting over a week's worth of 'shroomy stuff:

cupcakes are my favorite treat. long before the current craze, i fancied them. 

my obsession began in the fifth grade when i took a cake decorating class at our local rec center. i was a smitten kitten whipping up vanilla-vanilla's, red velvet + carrot cake creations....love at first bite.

when i spied these toppers at mushroom delight's etsy shop, i swooned for these little wooden 'shrooms. each is hand assembled, painted, dotted + glossed. sold in sets of two, they are simply charming. 

they'd be the finishing touch at a fall soiree. reason alone to invite friends over, no?
